DATA PROTECTION POLICY CHRONOSWISS
We, Chronoswiss AG, are pleased that you are visiting our website and thank you for your interest in our products. We take the protection of your personal data seriously and we want you to feel safe when visiting our website.
If you provide personal data to us, we shall handle this data with due care and in compliance with data protection laws. Data which you transmit to us by way of messages via the contact form, by entering into a contract or by email will be forwarded in a secure environment via our provider to us or to a confidentiality-bound service provider we have instructed. The data will be deleted after a response has been sent or the contract has been performed, provided that we no longer require the data for the purposes of our contract with you, that there are no statutory duties to store the data or that you have expressly consented to your data to be continued to be used.
We will use your personal data to the extent necessary for the initiation or performance of contracts pursuant to Article 6 par. 1 lit. b) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and for website administration purposes pursuant to Article 6 par. 1 lit. f) GDPR, in compliance with applicable laws. We only transmit personal data to state institutions and authorities if required under mandatory national legal rules.
We do not use your data for any other purposes or pass on data to third parties, except to the extent set out in this data protection policy. Your data is only processed within member states of the EU and Switzerland. We do not transfer your data to third countries.
COLLECTION AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
When visiting our website, we will collect the server log files data that is technically necessary to access our website (such as IP-address, name of your Internet service provider, time stamp of your visit, the website from which you were directed to our site and the pages of our site you visit etc.). This data is evaluated for statistical purposes, and the individual visitor remains anonymous.
If you wish to order an item from our online shop, you can choose whether you want to provide your data required for this order only once for the purposes of this particular order or whether you want to set up a customer account. A customer account will save your data for future purchases. If you do not set up a customer account, we will save your data for the purposes of performing the contract and will delete the data as soon as we no longer have a legal duty to retain it. Mandatory information required for performing the contract is marked accordingly; the provision of all other information will be voluntary. When creating an account under "My account", the data you enter there will be stored unless you object. You can delete your account in the customer area at any time. Even if you register for a customer account, we will not send you any advertising emails or post. However, we may inform you about technical matters. You will only receive our newsletter if you have signed up for it.
The information you provide is used to deal with your order. For this purpose, we shall pass on your address details to a shipping / transport company instructed by us and, where applicable, to companies we have instructed to carry out the contractual obligations and, where applicable, we will pass on your payment details to our bank. Once the contractual obligations have been performed and data storage duties under tax and commercial laws have lapsed, we shall delete this data at the latest.
In the case of payment by credit card: all credit card holders are subject to validity checks and approvals by the card issuer. We exchange the credit card holder’s personal data required for these checks with third parties (card issuers and, where applicable, other vicarious agents involved in the payment process).
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in relation to orders is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. b) GDPR.
In order to prevent unauthorised access by third parties to your personal data, especially financial data, the order process will be SSL-encrypted.
SAVING DATA CONTAINED IN CONTACT FORMS
Data which you enter in the address fields of the contact forms on our website, as well as the date and time of your query, will be sent to Chronoswiss AG or a confidentiality-bound service provider instructed by us in an encrypted manner. No other third parties will be able to access your data.
Chronoswiss AG uses the data only in order to respond to your query or to satisfy your request for information and to send to you the requested information material, where applicable via a confidentiality-bound postal service provider. Your data will be deleted afterwards, unless the data is subject to statutory data storage requirements.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data from the contact form is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. b) or lit. f) GDPR.
SAVING DATA IN CONNECTION WITH SIGNING UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER
You will be required to provide to us a valid email address of yours so that you can receive our newsletter. In order to check that the email address is yours, we also need the additional information specified below. No further information will be collected. This information will only be used for the purposes of sending the newsletter.
When signing up for the newsletter, we will save your IP address and the date on which you signed up. This information is saved solely in order to check who owns the email address and to prevent abuse.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data for sending the newsletter is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. a) GDPR. Your consent to processing these data for the purposes of sending the newsletter can be revoked at any time. Revocation can be declared via a link in the newsletter itself, via your user profile or by sending a message to our data protection officer.
STORING IP ADDRESSES
Information about IP addresses is being stored in the respective infrastructure components (especially web server protocol files / firewall) for a period of 31 days in order to create evaluation statistics. Personal data in the application and the accessing IP address will not be matched up.
STORING COOKIES
For some parts of the website, Chronoswiss AG uses what are known as “cookies” in order to tailor our services to your individual needs. Cookies are identification codes in small text files which a web server can store on your computer so as to identify your computer for the duration of your visit. At the beginning of your visit to our website you will be asked whether you consent to the use of cookies. If you do not consent to the use of cookies or have deactivated them in your browser, the functionality of our website may be limited.
It is generally possible for you to view cookies in your browser (e.g. in Mozilla Firefox under "Extras --> Settings --> Data Protection --> Show Cookies"). You can also set up your browser so that it informs you when cookies are being put in place.
You can stop the storage of user behaviour if you block the storage of cookies by this domain (www.chronoswiss.com) in your browser. For example, you can achieve this by creating an exception in your browser (e.g. in Firefox). If required, please check the programme help menu to find out how to achieve this in your browser.
The cookies are automatically deleted from your computer at the latest after the end of your website visit or after 60 days. Of course, you can also delete the above-mentioned cookies in your browser in individual cases or periodically in order to delete tracking information.

Chronoswiss AG and its contracted service providers take state of the art technical and organisational security measures in order to protect your data from accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. We are continuously improving our security measures in line with technological developments.
YOUR RIGHTS
On request, you will receive free of charge information about all your personal data collected in connection with your use of our website, the purpose of its processing and information about any recipients of this data. Upon request, we will make your personal data available to you or a third party named by you in a common machine-readable format, provided this is technically possible. If your data is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right that these inconsistencies are corrected. To exercise these rights, please contact our data protection officer.
You can revoke any consent you may have given to the processing of your personal data (e.g. when registering for our newsletter or your consent to the use of our cookies) at any time with effect for the future. For this purpose please contact our data protection officer
You can demand the restriction or deletion of your personal data at any time in accordance with the statutory terms.
You have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to the processing of personal data which is based on Art. 6 par. 1 lit. e) or f) GDPR.
You may lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data by us with the competent data protection supervisory authority. However, you are also welcome to contact us with your concerns.
